Representation

The two girls preparing for the party are high schoolers and that rebellious and a bit spoiled, explaining how they convinced their parents to throw a party at their house. There isn’t any real importance to these characters other than they are the first ones to die in the film.

The slasher is a not so typical character, unlike Freddy Krueger and Michael Myers, I wanted the audience to create sympathy for him after his tragedy just to show he’s a normal high schooler getting bullied for his sexuality which is quite realistic. In addition to going against the typical Kruger or Myers, Krueger being able able to attack people in their dreams or Micheal being shot at multiple times and still not dying, this person is killable just like any other person, this I feel like creates more realism for the audience which can make it scarier. To do this the killer would be wearing a bunker proof vest or other types of protection under his baggy clothing and fake his death making characters believe he is dead but isn’t, however still killable.
The other side to this character is, growing up uis father was a butcher and wanted his son to do nothing but what he does, so he has seen death since a very young age. These pressures put on him by his father got to him and resulted in flashbacks while killing his animals somethimes, it creates the frustration and anger in him in addition to the bullying that made him want to kill.
